Cardiac and Thoracic

Armadale Anaesthesia has a dedicated group of specialist anaesthetists focused on cardiac and thoracic surgery.

The group includes anaesthetists with expertise across both disciplines, as well as those specialising solely in thoracic procedures.

Many members are experienced in intraoperative echocardiography (TOE), supporting complex cardiac, thoracic, and interventional cardiology procedures. Our anaesthetists work across both public and private hospitals in Melbourne, providing a wide range of clinical experience in high-acuity and complex surgical settings.
The nature of cardiac and thoracic surgery often requires anaesthetic support at short notice, and surgeons turn to our group knowing they can rely on a pool of expert subspecialists to provide responsive, dependable cover.

In addition to cardiac and thoracic surgery, our team supports other specialties where thoracic expertise is required, including upper gastrointestinal, vascular, and complex oncological surgery.
NURSE PRACTITIONER SERVICES

The service provides additional clinical support before and after procedures, helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their surgical journey and recovery.
Patients have the opportunity to connect with one of our experienced Nurse Practitioners to discuss their health, ask questions and understand what to expect. This continuity of care provides reassurance and peace of mind, helping patients feel confident and well-prepared at every stage.Patients often tell us that these extra touchpoints give them peace of mind, knowing they are well-prepared, supported, and cared for every step of the way.
